Wherever you find love.... it feels like Christmas

At the beginning of this new year I thought it to be appropriate to embark on my journey of "blogging".  It's been something I have been pondering about doing for sometime now but haven't followed through, I'll blame it on my fear of  inadequate writing skills.
I was chatting with my sister one afternoon while she was visiting.  We were talking about my life and all the little joys in it.  She made the comment, "you have such a beautiful life", and in that moment I found my inspiration, the title of a blog.  It was a starting point, a place to go from, and thanks to my friends who have encouraged me to take the plunge, I am finally here, wring my very first entry.  I can tell already it's going to be addicting.
My life may not be beautiful in a glitz and glam kind of way but in the everyday moments of... jammied kids with binkis and sippys crawling into my lap for a good morning snuggle, catching snowflakes on our tongues as we waltz our way into the library, our highly anticipated lunch dates every Wednesday to "Ciao's" for the best pizza on earth, of course only after we indulged in our guava galato first, sipping a hot cup of tea in front of my fireplace watching my children being chase around the living room and  hearing the squeals of delight when they are at last caught and covered with kisses by their daddy... I could go on and on.  It might not be everyones dream, but it sure is mine and I can't imagine living this  life I have with out my family in it.
I want this blog to be an accurate tangible depiction of our memories.  Our legacy, sent out into the cosmic void of cyber space forever.
This is for my precious William and Annabelle and my amazing partner in life, best friend, favorite person on the entire planet, my husband Brian.  You all have brought more joy and fulfillment to this one heart than I could have ever imagined.  "I love you to the moon and back."

This was our "Beautiful Christmas"!  I am kicking myself for mot taking more pictures.  We were running late and I didn't have my camera at the ready.  :(
The venues of our Cristmas gathering was so idillic and charming that words wont even begin to describe it, but they will have to do.  We came together in an old one room school house in the quaint little town of Hahns Peak.  The bell was ringing, beaconing all to come in.  The wood burning fireplace was crackling away in the corner warming us all from the frigid mountain air.

There was an ancient dusty piano that serenaded us Hark the Harold Angels Sing, Silent Night, Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, and all the other quintessential songs that celebrate the blessed birth of our Savior.

The front of the room was one giant black board, it was adorned with christmas greetings.

This is at the Stanford's cabin where we had the most exquisite duck Christmas dinner, Will had just discovered the little christmas village that graced the hearth with twinkle lights, a horse and sleigh, and the most charming little figures of buildings you had ever seem, he was in complete awe.

My sweet Annabelle in her Christmas dress.

One of the many joys of having children's is reliving the anticipation and mystery of christmas morning.  Like how my tree is only decorated on the top half?  We blame the lack of symmetry on little miss Belle. :)

For someone so little she sure knows how to brighten up a room, twinkle lights or not.  This is my favorite picture of the Christmas season.  She was in such awe and complete wonder when we pulled these out.

Sipping "special drinks" is all apart of the joys of the holidays!  Cheers to you and this New Year!  A new beginning!
